My two questions are the following:

1.  Are we able to choose what type of tutoring we do (enrollment program, appointment program, or document review)? Is it required we do all different types?

2. What does the contract look like? (Is there a required minimum of hours we must work? Is there a maximum? Are we eligible for University employee benefits? What is the pay?)

  1. Writing Center appointments are either 6.6, 10, or 13.2 hours a week and involve you expressing a preference for your combination of enrollment, appointment, and document review. They are part of a TA-ship, which at 10 and 13.2 hours, carries benefits like tuition and medical coverage. Most of our TAs are also doing classroom teaching or lab work, too, but I don't know if that happens in the MAT program or if MATs have room in their program to teach classroom Rhetoric.

When you're in the class, you do enrollment tutoring unless you work full time during the day, which conflicts with enrollment times.
