 Question 1) What are some strategies to quickly establish the boundaries of the tutoring situation, i.e., making it clear to students that the writing center is not a "fix-it" shop?

Question 2) If a student comes in for a regular appointment without an assignment they are actively working on, what is the best use of that session? Are there exercises pre-prepared by the writing center regarding grammar, paragraph structure, constructing thesis/topic sentences that tutors can have students work through?
